Annette has been a pioneer in applying the arts to improve health and healthcare. She served as one of the original board members of the Society for the Arts in Healthcare, and she co-founded the Blair L. Sadler International Healing Arts Competition, which recognized exemplary arts projects that have measurably improved the quality of healthcare. Numerous articles by her, about her, and about Aesthetics have appeared in publications that include Healthcare Design, Health Facilities Management, Healthcare Building Ideas, and Spirituality & Health.

Annette is a member of the Planetree Visionary Design Network which provides holistic design services to Planetree members.

Duane Fisher
Director of Wayfinding Programs

A registered architect with over 20 years’ experience, Duane has been with Aesthetics since 1999. He has been instrumental in the development of the firm’s acclaimed holistic approach to healthcare wayfinding.

Roger Hill
Director of Architectural Services and Exterior Wayfinding

An architect with 30+ years of professional experience, Roger has led more than 15 exterior wayfinding design and planning projects at major medical centers. He also has led “whole hospital analysis” projects, providing recommendations for wayfinding, traffic circulation, parking, and architectural guidelines designed to improve the facility’s appearance and the patient and visitor experience.

Leah Goodwin
Director of Arts Programs and Fundraising Strategies

Leah’s exemplary career in the arts encompasses public arts management, visual and performing arts program development and consultation, and creation and implementation of award-winning arts programs in hospitals and educational institutions.

Kortney Schemidt
Director of Interpretive Displays

Since joining Aesthetics, Kortney has orchestrated more than 35 donor recognition, graphics, and display projects from conceptual design through installation. She is very adept at working with display fabricators and installers, and she personally supervises most installations.

Liz Titus Baskin
Senior Vice President

Liz joined Aesthetics in 1993 to oversee company operations and specifically is responsible for planning, finance, contracts, and personnel. She brings 30 years of corporate management experience to assuring quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in the fulfillment of Aesthetics’ mission.
