Loma Linda University Medical Center
Loma Linda, CA
Initially hired to create a comprehensive Master Plan for the campus, Aesthetics also completed several design projects in key areas throughout the hospital including the cancer center, many nursing units, the cafeteria, the children’s activity room, and several family and waiting areas. Each of these design projects supports the Master Plan through its use of color, texture and graphics.
The master plan covers five pavilions and three in-patient unit towers. It includes interior finish colors and application guidelines, furniture standards, and wayfinding terminology, graphics, and corridor and destination treatments. The master plan lends a cohesive feeling to all public and patient spaces while providing a unique identity for each of the pavilions and towers on the campus.
Aesthetics designed an art program that supports the wayfinding themes and interior finishes and created donor recognition and community displays that celebrate the mission of the hospital while working with the master plan.
